Today I want to write about collaboration. This has been apart of my journey since my baptismal earlier this year. This yearning to be in the light during the darkest of times.
Its been a fast week here in Austin, Texas. I've been behind the scenes working on bitcoin++ for a solid month. The biggest takeaways I took from this week were 3 things in relation to collaboration.
💯 A talented group of people can make anything come to life
It is not just individual skills, experience or intelligence that matter for accomplishing a goal as a team. What I found it to be was an appreciation for one another. Being the maximum version of yourself is what everyone wants to see. So embrace your team when they do this. As an individual you should be flexing your talents in a multitude of ways, it is of high importance to everyone on the team.
Talent seeks out talent. But true leaders cultivate talent in others
Shoot for perfection every time. Work ethic combined with talent and mutual respect for one another; is key to accomplish anything your team sets out to do.
💯 Be an example to your team
Embrace failure, listen to feedback, and create constantly through collaboration. Push yourself even when you cannot go anymore, that's when it truly matters most. Make sure to give everyday.
Its not about you, it never was.
If you have a specific set of skills, learn to delegate well to others. Make a conscious effort to nurture the skills of others, it is likely they'll be teaching you in no time.
💯 Establish purpose
Come to a common goal and work backwards to accomplish it. People will follow when the purpose is significant. Always have a level of detail and obsessiveness when it comes decisions. Being intentional with motives and staying present is what keeps the purpose alive.
It is not the destination, it is the journey.
accountability to oneself and others is the way, picking this up changed everything for me personally
everything is relationships, being intentional to those around me was key for me
accountability to my community near and far is where i am working to improve as well, lord knows i could always become better at this
